CHEESE PRODUCTION.
DALEFIELD COMPANY’S SEASON. ANNUAL MEETING. During the past season the Dalefield Co-operative Dairy Company exported 793 tons of cheese to Great Britain, and the average gross price realised per cwt was 59s Id for cheese sold to date. The average weight shrinkage was 1.490 per cent, all cheese being waxed. Advances amounting to £30,402 14s have been made lb supplier* during the season, equal to lid per lb for butterfat received. The 2115 cwt. of cheese unsold has been estimated at a gross average sale price of 57s 6d per cwt., and this if realised, will enable a further payment equal to ltd per lb for the season to be made, after providing for the payment of 8 per cent, interest on paid-up share capital. At the annual meeting, the retiring directors Messrs P. Bain and A. Q. Abbott, were re-elected and Mr R J. Chapman was re-elected auditor.
