Messrs. Levin & Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents, dated July 13, 1931:— The auctions are proceeding at the level of the opening day. There is good competition at the lower range of values. As at present arranged, the sales will colse on July 24, and will probably be curtailed. The withdrawals are heavy. The following prices are current: —Merino, super JOJd to lid, average 8d to 9d; (fine half bred super 56/58 9d to 9|d, average BJd to 9Jd; medium halfbred super 50/56 7-Jd to Bd, average 7d> to 7Jd; coarse halfbred, super 48/50 6}d to 7-Jd, average 61d to 7d; fine crossbred, super 46/48 6}d to 6Jd, average 6d to 6}d; medium crossbred, super 44/46 6d to 6Jd, average sfd to 6Jd; coarse crossbred super 40/44 5Jd to 6d, average 5Jd to 5Jd; low crossbred, super 36/40 sid to 6d, average 5Jd to 5Jd; pieces, 4Jd to sd; bellies, 4d to 4jd; locks, 2d to 2Jd.
