MUSICAL TREAT.
COMMERCIAL TRAVELLERS’ CHOIR. APPEARANCE IN MASTERTON ON SATURDAY. A musical treat is promised patrons of the Opera House on Saturday night, when the Commercial Travellers’ Choir will contribute a programme of considerable merit in aid of the Masterton Y.M.C.A. funds. A total of fifty artists will be taking part and the ehoir will be under the conductorship of Mr. John Bishop, who was brought to New Zealand from England by the Wellington Choral Union. Mr. Bishop is also conductor of the Wellington Philharmonic Society. The excellence of the entertainment provided by the Commercial Travellers ’ Choir is proverbial, and there is little doubt that a bumper house will greet these accomplished singers on Saturday, particularly as the proceeds will be devoted to such a worthy object.
