The Now Zealand Meat Producers’ Board has received the following cable from its London Office, dated April 3, advising that the following arc the approximate average wholesale prices per lb., realised for the week:— N.Z. N.Z. Prime Porker Pigs: 60/106, sd; 1611/120, 4id. N.Z. prime baconer pigs, 121/180, sd. N.Z. Frozen Veal: Not quoted. Lamb Market: Demand is good, bugmarket slightly easier owing to large supplies due this month from all sources. Mutton Market: Wethers unchanged but there is a slightly better demand. Ewes, prices have improved owing to better demand and lighter stocks. Beef Market: Market is overloaded

with Argentine Chilled Beef. N.Z. Porker Pigs: Demand falling off as usual for the time of year. N.Z. Baconer Pigs: Nominal prices: Continental bacon is still selling low prices.
