Better demand at auction 713 packages being offered and 611 sold. Most no colour sorts 6d dearer other descriptions unchanged. Hemp: Manila eased "under selling pressure early this week. “K” grade November/January shipments sold £2l 10/- but closed steadier and business has been done at £22. 'Sisal: Market dull slightly easier, closing sellers afloat first grade fair average quality £2l, October/December shipment, £2l 5/-. Javanese pressed for sale about as low as £2l/10/- any position. Mexican unchanged no small sales reported. New Zealand: Market quiet, nominal value unchanged and no first hand sales reported. Wool: Bradford reports steady enquiry for Merino arid fine crossbred tops but not much forward buying. Medium and low crossbred remain quiet. 56’s now quoted l/4d, 40’s prepared Hid to 1/-.
