The Reichstag will consider the 1931 Budget to-morrew. The Defence estimates allow 34,700 marks in excess of 1930 for snip construction and armament, including the first instalment of 10,830 mark® for the armoured cruiser Ersatz Lothringen, which will be completed in 1934. The cost of the Ersatz Preussen, which will be completed in 1932 will be seventy-five million and the Ersatz Baunschweig, in 1936, will cost seventy-three million and the Ersatz Leipzig, fortytwo million marks. The next six years’ programme includes the Psatzelsass, which is being laid down in 1936, four destroyers, five torpedo boats and five coastal vessels, two artillery training and six mine searching vessels and other small craft, absorbing fifty million marks.
