REDS IN SYDNEY.
FRIENDS OF SOVIET REFUSED TOWN HALL. MR. J. GARDEN THREATENS REPRISALS. SYDNEY, November 4. An application by the “Friends of the Soviet Union” to hold a social and dance in the Town Hall was refused by the City Finance Committee. Alderman J. Garden protested strongly. Ho said: “The time will eome when we will give a similar refusal to all people who make application for similar purposes, and I don’t care whether it is to entertain the Duke of York or anybody else, we will say no.”
