UNEXPLAINED CRASH.
NO STRUCTURAL DEFECT FOUND IN ’PLANE. FURTHER INVESTIGATION. (Received Tuesday, 7.30 p.m.) LONDON, November 3. The Air Ministry, in an interim report on the Moepham crash, states mat careful examination of all the main fractures revealed no defect in the structure or assembly. Furthermore, there were no signs of faulty or inferior material. The committee is therefore still exploring further possibilities.
(On July 21, the villagers of Moepham, near Gravesend,-saw a big aeroplane wobbling badly as it approached from the Channel in pouring rain. An explosion occurred, and pieces of wreckage eame floating down and the machine crashed into an orchard. Six persons were killed.)
