WOOL SALES.

REGULATION OF OFFERINGS.

The New Zealand Wool Committee comprising representatives of the producers, woolbrokers and woolbuyers held a meeting last week for the purpose of exercising its functions in regulating the offerings of wool at the various sales to be held throughout the Dominion during the coming season. The Committee had first obtained from the Woolbrokers’ Associations at each selling centre, an estimate of the quantity of wool which it is expected will be' offered, including wool carried over from last season. The allocations made by the Committee were based on these estimates, and the maximum aggregate quantities of wool, in bales, which may be offered at the sales were fixed as follow:—

November 25, Auckland 25,000; Nov. 28, Wanganui 22,000; December 3, Napier 30,000; Dee. 8, Wellington 30,000; Dec. 12, Christchurch 22,000; Dec. I's, Timani 15,000; Dec. 19, Dunedin 25,000. January 7, Wellington 30,000; Jan. 12, Napier 27,000; Jan. 17, Auckland 25,000; Jan. 20, Wanganui, 25,000; Jan. 26, C&iHstchurch 25,000; Jan. 30, Invercargill 25,000. February 3, Dunedin 30,000; Fob. 6, Timaru 18,000; Feb. 13, Wellington 30,000; Feb. 18, Napier 24,000; Feb. 23, Wanganui 23,000. March 2, Christchurch 22,000; March 9, Dunedin 25,000; March 11, Invercargill (no limit); March 18, Wellington 30,000; March 23, Napier 20,000; March 27, Auckland (no limit); March 31, Christchurch (no limit). April 10, Dunedin (no limit); April 13, Timaru (no bmit); April 17, Wellington (no limit); April 21, Napier (no limit); April 23, Wanganui (no limit).
