MOTOR CYCLING.
MASTERTON v. PALMERSTON. INTER-CLUB VISIT. About 40 members and friends of the Masterton Motor Cycle Club journeyed to Mangatainoka yesterday to try conclusions with the Orion Club, Palmerston North. In all, about 100 members of the two clubs competed in various events and a most enjoyable time was spent. Masterton was successful in the competitive events, winning five to Orion’s one. The following are the results :—
Slow Race.—R. A. Temple (Masterton), 1; speed-judging ’(four laps at 20 miles per hour), L. Mimpson (Masterton); tilting the ring (solo), E. Aplin (Masterton), 1; tilting '(pillion), W. Crozier and Miss M. Sutherland (Masterton), 1; potato race, J. Rasmussen and Mrs Tucker (Palmerston), 1; speed judging (six laps at 18 m.p.h.), W. Berrill (Masterton).
