VISITING Y.M.C.A. BOYS.
CONTEST WITH MASTERTON TEAMS. Yesterday morning, the Napier Y.M.C.A, boys who are at present in Maisterton on an inter-association visit inspected the Masterton Spinning and Hosiery Mills, the manager (Mr. Glover) kindly showing them over the establishment. A visit was paid also to the Fish Hatcheries, wlhere the boys found much to interest them and where the work in progress was explained by the custodian, Mr. J. G. Miller. In the afternoon, the visitors were taken for a motor drive round the district by members of the Rotary Club.
Last evening Napier and Masterton team 9 engaged in competition in a number of indoor games. At pingpong and darts, the Masterton A. teams and the Napier B. teams were winners. At quoits, the Masterton A. and B. teams both won the verdict. For the evening, Masterton gained 9 aggregate points and Napier 5. Napier and MasteHon teams will try conclusions this morning in a Rugby match postponed from yesterday and this evening there will be .iompetitions in basketball, dodge ball and snatch club. To-morrow, the visitors and local lads will compete in amateur athletic events.
