TUHIRANGI CLUB MATCHES. (“The Age” Special.) A postal match between the Tuhirangi and Carterton miniature rifle clubs resulted in a narrow win for Tuhirangi by one point. The shooting, as the scores indicate, was remarkably good. The scores were as follow:— Tuhirangi: D. J. Mclntosh 99, D. Munro 98, G. Munro, S. Hall and H. Tinsley 97, J. Atkinson 95, K. G. Munro 92, Miss M. Munro and S. McIntosh 91; total, 951. Carterton: W. Press and H. Dudson 99, B. Feist, C. Butler and A. Aplin 97, Miss O. Cook 95, J. Lenihan and J. Bannin 93, G. Busby 91, D. Catt 89; total, 950. The Tuhirangi Club journeyed to Featherston to endeavour to wrest the Pragnell Shield from the holders, but were unsuccessful by 2S points, the home team putting on an average score of 97. Miss Margaret Munro was top scorer for the Tuhirangi Club. A handicap trophy shoot was held by the Tuhirangi Club on Saturday night, the conditions being seven shots with a limit score of 69.
