TYPHOID BACILLUS FOUND. PARIS, August 10. The Pasteur Institute, always foremost in the w?.r against rats, has discovered the bacillus of rat typhoid, which is now obtainable in small phials. For a long time it preserves its toxic qualities. It is dissolved in cold water, previously boiled, and the solution with bread and grain are impregnated. One rat contracting the disease is sufficient _to infect whole colonies, which die in a few days. The virus is innocuous to human beings, domestic animals, game and poultry.
