PRINCE OF WALES.
TAKING COMPLETELY PRIVATE HOLIDAY. EXACTING STRAIN OF PUBLIC ENGAGEMENTS. (Received Sunday, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, August 9. The Prince of Wales has arranged for a completely private holiday and has declined any public engagements until the end of September, feeling that he needs a rest after the strenuous life he is forced to lead throughout the year. Since his return from Africa in April he has had a very busy time. He visited Scotland, Wales and many parts of England. He made an exhaustive tour of the Duchy of Cornwall last week, taking Brussels and Antwerp in his course and scores of engagements were carried out, as well as- exacting programmes of speech-making at the opening of institutions.
