MASTERTON SALE. Messrs. Dalgety and Co. Ltd. report on the Masterton. sale as follows: A -small entry of sheep was submitted to the usual attendance of buyers. Competition for fat -sheep was keen, but for other classes, prices were on a par with recent sales. Following is the range of prices:—A/c. Holmes Estate, 58 heavy fat ewes, 22/10; a/c. other vendors; mixed aged ewes, r.w. S.D. rams, 16/-; small 2-th wethers, 15/-. The W.F.C.A. Ltd. report having offered a medium entry of -sheep at their Masterton sale yesterday. They effected a good clearance at prices on par with recent sales; they quote: Good fat owes, 18/- to 19/6; light fat ewes, 15/-; fat wethers, 25/-; store wethers, 18/-; b.f. hoggets, 11/9; good wether hoggets, 16/-; small b.f. 2-th., 12/6. The N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co-. L-td. report on their usual weekly sale as follows:—We had a fair yarding of sheep, cattle and pigs, which were offered to the usual attendance. Bidding at auction was not very keen although fat sheep sold' a little better than late rates. We quote: 100 s.m. ewes r.w. S.D. rams, 10/-; 25 prime fat ewes, 20-9; 16 fat wethers, 24/6; 23 fat Down ewes, 20/-; 17 b.f. hoggets, 11/3; 25 store ewes, 4/6; dairy cows due August and September, £6 to £7; late calvers, £3 to £5; steer calves, £l/2/6; store cows, £2 to £2/10/-; very good weaner pigs, 20/- to 25/-; sows to farrow, £2 5/- to £4.
