POST OFFICE ROBBED.
ACCUSED' MAN IN COURT. CHRISTCHURCH, August 5. Herbert Ormond Lawrence, aged 30 a labourer, appeared on remand before J - Mosle y, &M., charged with Of £B ° -the Addington Post Office. Witnesses alleged that the accused, while in the Post Office on business, reached over the counter while the clerk was busy and snatched the money, and then bolted down the street. He was arrested after a chase, the money being found in a hedge. The accused'pleaded not guilty and was committed for trial.—(P:A.)
