STRANGE OUTRAGE.
ATTEMPT TO BLOW UP TRAM. EPISODE IN SYDNEY. SYDNEY, August_4. What the police think was an attempt to blow up a tram occurred when a Manly vehicle made contact with three huge chunks of gelignite and the whole district was disturbed by a deafening explosion. The passengers were in panic, and the tram badly damaged, but there were no injuries.
