ACCIDENTS ON THE CONTINENT THREE LIVES LOST. ’PLANE CRASHES INTO WIRELESS AERIAL. United Press Assoeintiqn.—By Eleetrie Telegraph.—Copyright. (Received Sundav, 6.45 p.m.) LONDON, July 26. A German aeroplane engaged in the round Europe race, when landing at an aerodrome at Lyons got caught in a wireless aerial and crashed. The pilot, Offennann, and a passenger, Terzemeski, were killed. Another tragedy occurred at Lausanne, where Captain Staub decided to fire a signal to help a French pilot to land in bad weather. The gun went off in Staub’s face and he died afterwards. TWO KILLED NEAR ADEN. (Received Sunday, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, July 26. The Air Ministry announces that Flying-Officer Geoffrey Pilcher and Aircraftsman Robert Laidler crashed, and were killed, near Aden. SCHNEIDER CUP. ORGANISATION OF COMPETITION. (Received Sunday, 5.5 p.m.) PARIS, July 26. Following on Britain’s rejection of the French Aero Club’s Schneider Cup ■entry on the ground that the deposit condition was not fulfilled, the elub has decided to join Italy in protesting to the Aeronautical Federation, demanding that the organisation of the competition shall be placed in Italy’s hands.
