PLUNGE INTO CREEK.
LABGE CAR PALLS FIFTY FEET. DRIVER KILLED & PASSENGERS INJURED. AUCKLAND, July 27. A fatal motor accident occurred on a bridge at Albany late last night. A large car plunged fifty feet into the bed of the creek and the driver, E. J. Fraser, of Northcote, was killed. Mrs. Catherine Ralston, of Northcote, re ceived serious injuries to her head, and Clement Peters, of Northcote, received injuries to his head. It is stated that the car skidded on the bridge, crashed through the railing and fell to the bed of the creek. Fraser died almost immediately. It was fortunate that the tide was out when' the lacddent occurred, otherwise all might i v 3 been drowned. Fraser, aged 40, leaves a widow and one child.—(PA.)
