BRITISH DIRIGIBLES.
GREAT AIR LEVIATHANS NEARLY READY. RlOO FLOATING IN HANGAR. AN ENGINE TRIAL. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Oopyright. (Received Wednesday, 7.15 p.m.) LONDON, August 21. It is expected that the RlOl will be ready at the end of the month and the RIOO early next month. For five weeks mechanics have been busy inflating the RlOl at the rate of a million feet weekly. Six hundred men and 150 girls have spent nearly two years building the RlOO, which is already floating in a shed. To-day the six engines were successfully tried out. RlOO is structurally the strongest airship in existence. The policy of the designers throughout has been to place strength before performance.—(Australian Press Association.)
