A meeting of the lady members of the Featherston Tennis Club was held on Tuesday night to make arrangements for the dance to bo held on July 16. Oddfsnows’ Lodgs. At the fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Unity Lodge of Oddfellows, a motion of condolence was passed ia silence with relatives of the late Bro. Wm. Davis, who was a member of the Loyal Waihi Lodge. It was decided to contribute £2 10s. to the Mayor’s earthquake relief fund. Miniature Biflee. Fire Brigade. Donations of £1 Is from Min E. Card and £1 from Mr. H Tyre were received by the Featherston Volunteer Fire Brigade during the month. An invitation from the Greytown Brigade to attend their annual reunion on July 16 was accepted. The secretary reported that as a re*nlt of the recent concert the fund* of the Brigade would benefit to the extent of £l5.
