MASTERTON SALE. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on the Masterton sale as follows:—A medium entry of sheep was submitted to a large attendance of farmers. Competition was on a par with recent c ales, a clearance being effected at the following prices: F.m. ewes r.w. S.D., 29/- to 29/6; fat ewes, 24/10; light fat wethers, 31/3. The Wairarapa Farmers’ Co-opera-tive Association, Ltd., report: —We held our weekly Masterton sale yesterday, when we offered a medium yarding of sheep to a good attendance of the public. Prices were on a par with recent sales, and we made a total clearance at good values. We quote: On account W. H. Buick and Son, 55 2-tooth to 4-year stud Romney ewes in lamb, 2jgns; other prices were: Forward wethers, 31/-; aged ewes in lamb to S.D., 19/-; small empty 2-tooth ewes, 26/6; medium b.f. lambs, 18/8; small b.f. lambs, 15/-. The N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., report on their Masterton sale held yesterday, as follows:—• We had a fair yarding of sheep and a few cattle, which we offered to a good attendance. The whole yarding was sold at auction with the exception of one pen, at the following prices:—Ewes r.w. S.D., 22/- to 27/-; fat Downs, 31/-; fat wethers, 31/3; fat ewes, 23/1, 23/3 26/- to 28/-; fat and forward b.f. hoggets, 23/-; poor store eweb, 11/-; light fat steers, £9 7/-; light fat heifer, £7 10/-.
