SHOW MANAGEMENT.
MEETING OF THE MASTERTON A. & P. SOCIETY. HORSE SPORTS ABANDONED. The monthly meeting of the general eomimittee of the Masterton A. and P. Society was held yesterday afternoon'. The president, Mr. W. F. McLaren, occupied the chair. There was an. attendance of sixteen members. A proposal to hold horse sports, under the auspices of a committee, on the Showgrounds at Solway, as outlined at the last meeting-, the president reported, had fallen through and the sports would not be held. Messrs W. F. McLaren and A. H. Falloon were appointed delegates to attend the conference of the Royal Agricultural Society at Wellington on June 26. In the case of Mr. Falloon being unable to go Mr. R. L. Barton agreed to take his place. With reference to the nomination of representatives for the Board of Agriculture it was decided that delegates moot to ascertain if -an arrangement could not be made with the Wairarapa P. and A. Society to reduce the Wairarapa nominations to one. Three nominations had been made—two for the Wairarapa, Messrs A. Clark and Q. Donald, Featherston and Mr J. Linklater, of Palmerston. North. Two resignations were accepted.
