’ r ASTERTON ALE. The N.Z. Farmers * Co-op. Distributing Go. Ltd. report on their Masterton sale as follows: —We had a heavy yarding of sheep comprising mostly lambs. All classes of sheep met with, spirited competition, every pen being sold at auction at the following prices:—Prime fat wethers 33/8; fat ewes 25/- to 26/8; forward store ewes 24/1; cull 2 tooth ewes 27/6; m.a. ewer t.w. S.D. ram 25/3 to 28/6; cull m.a. ewes r.w. S.D. ram 21/7; fat lambs 22/6 to 25/-; forward b.f. lambs 20/1 to 21/7: medium b.f. lambs 18/-, 18/6. 19/1 to' 19/10; cull b.f. lambs 16/-, 16/3, 16/5, 16/6 to 17/4; woolly wether lambs 21/-; shorn wether lambs 20/3; medium shorn wether lambs 16/7 to 17/-; cull ewe lambs 16/1 to 18/4; 2 tooth wethers 26/- to 29/2; 1 dairy cow close to profit £l2/12/6; weaner pigs 10/- to 11/6. Dalgety and Coy. Ltd. report on the Masterton sale as follows:—A medium yarding of sheep was submitted to a good attendance of buyers. The bulk of the entry comprised lambs of good quality and condition the demand for these being very keen. Following is the range of prices:—Extra jgood shorn wether lambs 21/6 medium do 18/6 woolly ewe lambs 26/2 b.f. lambs 19/7 to 17/4.

The N.Z. Loan & Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd. report:—A good yarding of sheep came forward all lines meeting with keen competition especially for better class lambs. We disposed of out entry of about 500' head a-s follows:—84 5-year Ewes r.w. S.D. ram 25/10, 72 aged ditto 17/6, 39 ditto 18/-, cull ditto 11/- y 174 b.f. lambs 19/-, 2® ditto 21/-, 46 empty ewes 21/10, 31 ditto I'7/1. The W.F.C.A. report: —We held our weekly Masterton sale yesterday, when we offered a good yarding of 1400 sheep to a big attendance of buyers. The demand for all clascs was keen and we sold over 1000 head at rates well up to recent quotations. We quote:—97 4-th and 4-yr ewes R.W. Romney Rams 32/6, 94 5-yr. ewes R.W. S.D. rams 24/6, 55 fat and fwd. ewes 21/10, 18 small 2-tooth ewes 24/6, 100 woolly wether lambs 21/7, 100 shorn wether lambs 18/9, 80 fat and forward lambs 23/-, 191 medium wether lambs 16/-, 54 b.f. lambs 1-9/10, 20 medium ewe lambs 24/J, 62 do 19/2, small ewe lambs 13/1, .small wether lambs 13/2, 13/1 to 15/-, fat wethers 33/4, store wethers 27/5, 28/3 to 30/-. PAHIATUA -SALE. The N.Z. Loan & Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd. report:—We offered a fair yarding of about 650 sheep* and with the exception of 2 pens had a clearance at auction at prices in vendors 3 favour. We report: 134 4-tooth wethers 28/6, 78 shorn b.f. lambs 17/11, medium ditto in lote 12/8, 14/2, to/-, 15/6 to 15/7, medium w.f. wether lambs 15/10, 2-tooth wethers 26/11, aged empty ewes 13/-, 3 heifers in calf £4/15/- to £6.
