CARTE® TON SALE The W.F.C.A. report; There was only ■i small yarding of stock offered at the Carterton sale yesterday. All sheep were disposed of at late rates. Pigs were considerably down and hard to i quit. We quote the following: s.m. ewes, 18s 6d; 1 springing second cal ver, -10- weaner pigs, 6s to*l2s; slips, 10s to 15s; porkers, 28s to 365; 1 sow and litter, £4; 1 chopper, 345; young ducks, 2s 5d to 4s 5d each; few?*, Is 6d to 2s 6d. PONGAROA SALE The W.F.C.A. report: We held our monthly sale at Pongaroa yesterday, when a heavy yarding of sheep came forward and w°Te submitted to a good .attendance of the public. Our entry totalled! 2200 and with the exception of two pens, were all sold under the hammer. We quote: 2-tooth ewes, 27s to 28s 3d; 4-tooth ewes, 295; 6-tooth ewes, 30s; 4-year ewes, 25s Bd, 27s 2d to 28s; m..a. ewes, 19s sd, 21s 6d to 225; 2-tooth wet-ers, 25s- 3d, 25s 4d, 27s to 27s Id; b.f. lambs, 14s, 15s, 17s 7d to 19s 7d; good shorn wether lambs, 225; medium shorn wether lambs, 19s to 19s sd; shorn m.s. lambs, 16s 8d to 225; Romney rams, 2 2-3, 3 1-3, 5j to 6 2-3 gns.
