•CHRISTCHURCH, March. 20. There was .another exceptionally heavy entry of store sheep of over 35,000 head at Addington to-day, substantial drafts of ewes coming from the North Island, as well as the Chathams and Nelson. Good -sized entries of fat cattle and fat 'sheep were also forwarded.

Fat lambs: 2220 penned, and a free sale at schedule prices. Extra prime lambs made to 32s lOd; prime, 28s 6d to 31s 6d; medium lambs, 26s to 28s; light, 23s 6d to 25s 6d.

Fat sheep: An average penning of about 10 races. Last week’s values were maintained until the finial stages, when am advance of Is 6d per head took place. Exfra prime heavy wethers made to 35s IQd; prime wethers, 30s 6d to 33s 6d; medium wethers, 27s 6d to 30s; light wethers, 25s to 27s 3-d; extra prime ewes, to 34>g Id; prime ewes, 25s to 29s fid; medium ewes, 21s 6d to 245; light ewes, 18s to 21s; aged ewes, 13s to 17s. .

Fat cattle: 480 head yarded, x .good steens forming a small proportion. For these the market was better by 25s a head, other classes showing minor improvement. Best beef made to 47s 6d per 1001b s ; good, 42s to 455; medium quality, 39s to 41s 6d; plain cow, 35s to 375; and rough, down to 325.
