A HONOURED JUDGE
FUNERAL OF SIR CHARLES SKERRETT. REQUIEM MASS CELEBRATE! AT WESTMINSTER INTERMENT AT KENSAL -GREEN United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, March 20. With the coffin before the High Altar a Requiem Mass was celebrated at the Westminster Catholic Cathedral for .the late Sir Charles Skerrett, Chief Justice of New Zealand.. The chief mourners were his sisters, Mrs Compton and Misses Julia and Mary Skerrett. Those- present included Sir James Parr, Sir Charles Holdsworth, Lord Strathspey, Lady Augustus Inskip, Lord Trevor, Viscount Falkland, Mrs Amery, Colonel Desatgc, representing the Dominions Office. The pall-bearers were- Sir James Parr, Lord Strathspey, - Mr Cecil Wray, Mr Jaimes Conehie, Mr Peter Comton and Mir H. Y. Butler. The interment was at Kensal Green. The wreaths included ones from New , Zealand Government and people, the 'Law Societies of England, New Zealand, Wellington end Taranaki, and the I Union Steam Ship Company. The coffin was covered with a New Zealand flag from the steamer Port Denison, on which Sir Charles made his last voyage, dying en route to England.—(Australian Press Association,—United Service.)
