A VITAL NECESSITY. One of the must important things to remember when a cold or Influenza deelops is that a laxative medicine is of tai necessity. By cleansing the stomach, liver and bowels, it will help the child to throw off th© disease. For this purpose there is no more suitable preparation than Chamberlain’s Tablets. They do not add to the distress of the patient by nauseating or griping, but act quickly, naturally and without any unpleasant effect. No fiome should ever be without a bottle of Chamberlain’s Tablets on hand for an emergency. Sold everywhere.

DALGETY & CO., LTD. Dalgety and Co. report: The final sale was held to-day. There was a largo offering of 34,000 bales; with a ■ full bench of buyers ini attendance. The 1 competition generally could not be termed animated, except when some special lines of .good quality and good style wools were submitted. The buying was well spread, with English, German and French competition v'eiry pronounced. Bradford buyers were the largest purchasers, with iG-ermauy also lifting a heavy weight of the textile. At times the bidding was erratic and some of the heavy conditioned low quality wools, which were .passed in at the February sale, failed to make passed prices again. The majority of the finer quality, good stylo wools were in been demand and rates for these can be. quoted as from Jd to Jd higher. 1 Heavy conditioned coarse wools of 36/ AO’s quality and medium top making sorts of 40/46’s qualities can be quoted .par, although at times some lots were sold in buyers’ favour. A good clearance is being effected, about 94 per cent, of the offering being sold under the hammer. Lambs wool was also erratic, seedy and medium sorts being generally Jd 'dearer, super style lines Jd to Id cheaper. Super style bcilicis and pieces were eagerly compel ed for by French buyers and prices were generally firm, at last sale rates. Dull heavy conditioned lots were considerably easier, the depreciation being anywhere from Jd to Id per lb. There was an insistent demand for super style hogget wools of 46/48 and 4’B/ 50’s qualities. This .stylo of wool was generally firm On February sales’ prices. 1 Following are Wairarapa realisations:—

LEVIN & CO., LTD. Messrs Levin, and -Co., Ltd., reported yesterday: The fifth sate of the. 192829 Season was held to-day, 33,567 bales be-i-ng offered, out catalogue representing 8770 bales. The large offering was due primarily to inetieased production and secondly to the re-offering of pass-ed-in lots at previous sales, and third- ■ ly to the slightly smaller -offering in the 'first two -sales. We had a good repre--1 sentative catalogue, some few super crossbreds fit for America and Australia, many crossbred elips of good -style, half a dozen Merino clips -of average quality, much lamb’s wool, halfbreds in fair • quantities, and some back-eountry wools. Much the argest proportion was wool from breeding and aged -ewes,, a testimony to the increased attention paid to the fat lamb trade. One cannot speak, however, with much enthusiasm of the class of wool produced by some of the ancient animals now used for breeding purposes, but -the day cannot be far distant when the high prices paid for the old breeding ewes will bring forward a -supply -of younger ewes, which will meet the demand and permit the demise of the so-called five-year-old at due date. Growers who retain the old sheep must bear in mind that the wool clip is very much what it ought not to be and’ prices are necessarily in keeping with the low character and grades. A large number of int-erlots were offered and- these attracted keen attention by buyers because of the size of -the lots and the fullest prices of the sale were paid under the stress of competition. For -Mernio wools there was a very weak demand and prices offered Were not sufficient to induce growers to -sell. Halfbreds sold at an advance of id to Id with February, general and .gooaco-m--poti'tion coming from Bradford, the Continent and Dominion mills.. Iw crossbreds there was a -keen and -sustained -demand, the bidding being more widely distributed than at any sale this season, all consuming quarters participating. Super and good average crossbreds advanced }d to id. Average and heavy conditioned wools were firm as also- were inferior. Lamb’s wool w-as wanted by France, Bradford and Australian mills, but February -prices were not maintained, to the extent of Id per lb. Down lambs in all the sales this season have been rather neglected, and to-day were -difficult of sale. Bellies and pieces met with good demand and showed- little change, although p-riees varied in accordance 'with quality and condition. Local • felhmongers were eager buyers, realising that to-day was the last ehance of - securing supplies for the winter. The following prices were realised for some of the Wairarapa clips sold by us:—

WRIGHT, STEPHENSON & CO. Messrs. Wright, .Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report:—We offered a catalogue of 5219 bales, selling approximately 9a per cent, of the offering under the hammer and at the time of writing had every prospect of disposing of most of the balance. In our offering we had some very attractive lots of bright, well-grown cross wool, mostly from the Wairarapa, Manawatu and Rangitikci districts. We also showed an unusually big proportion of lambs’ wool which made up to 21d for Southdown cross. There was also a good supply of Con tinental wool included in our offering. Although business in tops and yarns is still of a dragging description, users at the other end seemingly have quite determined to avoid anything in the nature of speculative buying. We have therefore, to report a slight advance in prices as compared with our last local

sale. Our Wairarapa realisations were as follow:— NGAKONUI/H: AA E and W 191 d, A E and W 153d,'8 E and W 15d, C E and W 143 d, CO E and W 143 d, nks 14Jd, Ist pcs 123 d, bls 103 d, xbd 14Jd.
