RUGBY AFFAIRS.
PROTESTS BY WELLINGTON UNION. WELLINGTON, March 19. At a meeting of the Management Committee of the Wellington Rugby Union it was decided to protest to the New Zealand Union against the unnecessarily early appointment of a selection committee and also against the late date fixed for the annual meeting this season. It was decided to hold over the nomination of a selector until the committee had fuller particulars as to the intentions of the New Zealand Union with regard to the selection of teams.— (P.A..)
