GOOD FNANCIAL POSITION REPORTED RECOGNITION OF T. OAKLEY’S THREE MILE RECORD
A meeting of the Wairarapa SubCentre of the New Zealand Athletic Association was held last night, Mr C. M. Strouts presiding over a full attendance of delegates. It was reported that the finances o“ the Sub Centre showed a credit of over £lOO. This position was TCgnraed as very satisfactory and reflected great credit upon the work of the Centre’s secretary,-Mr D. Hoult. Accounts amounting to £22 5s were passed for payment. . It was decided to make application to the New Zealand Council for recognition of T. Oakley’s recent three mile record..
The secretary reported that he was leaving, under temporary transfer, for Napier to-day, and asked that Mr F. Woodward be allowed to act in his absence. The meeting decided that his request be acceded to.
