EKETAHUNA SALE. The W.F.C.A. report on. the Eketa buna sale, held yesterday, as follows:— A medium yarding of both sheep and cattle came forward and met with a steady sale. We made a total clearance at the following prices: Thirty-six s.m.l ewes, 22/4; 40 do., 18/6; 59 aged ewes 16/-; 77 do., 14/6; 29 cull ewes, 9/2; 32 b.f. lambs, 16/10; 10 do., 16/2; 13 smal lambs, 12/-; S.D. rams, 3Agns and 4gns; Romney rams, 3£gns; weaner dairy heifers, 2 10/-; weaner pigs, 7/-, 8/6 to 10/-.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report having submitted an offering of between 400 and 500 sheep to the usual attendance of the public. The bulk of their entry consisted of black face lambs and aged ewes, values being fully maintained on late rates. They report: —233 b.f. lambs, 17/10; 100 do., 18/8; 65 medium b.f. lambs, 14/1; other small lots of b.f. lambs, 13/6, 15/- to 15/2; aged ewes, 16/4 to 17/6; a small pen of 4 and 6tooth ewes realised 29/-; S.D. rams, Ign to l|gns.
