(Received Monday, 9.10 p.m.) LONDON, March 11. “The Times” Lahore correspondent says that Amanullah is marching upon Kabul, where Ameer is strengthening the defences and enlisting fresh troops. A civil war is expected to break out in a few weeks. All the Kandahar region is supporting Amanullah and many prominent chiefs have already rallied to his standard. The former Governor of Jalabad has just arrived at Peshawar. He declares that the tribes men of Eastern Afghanistan are tired of the present chaos and are ready to support Amanullah, if given an amnesty. Nadir Khan, who was expected to win over a large part of Afghanistan in favour of Amanullah is reported to have been arrested, and his property looted. —(Australian Press Association.)
