BIBLE CLASS RALLY.
METHODIST YOUNG WOMEN’S SUB-UNION The executive! meeting of the Wairarapa Methodist Young Women’s Bible Class Sub-Union was held on Monday evening in Wesley Hall, Masterton, Mrs E. Jones presiding over a representative gathering. -Miss W. Wellington (secretary) reported that at th-0 rally of classes held in Masterton on Sunday afternoon last, when thanksgiving offerings were received from the classes, £22- was donated, an amount a little in excess of the allocation. The rally was presided over by the Rev. R. P. Keall, of Greytown, and was attended by about eighty young women, representing Masterton senior and junior, Kuripun-i junior, Carterton senior and junior, and Greytow classes. .Solway was- also repre-sen-t--ed. During the course of the meeting the R'ev. E. O, Bliamires gave an address on “Throe Essential Elements in Class Work,” illustrated by Millet’s picture “The Angelus. ” Miss D. Jamieson sang a sacred) solo entitled “Give,” accompanied by Miss- A. Jones A.T.C.L. at the organ. The gifts were received from the -respective classes by Miss E. Jones and Mrs 8. Keen, on behalf of the Sub-Union. Final arrangements were made by the executive for the visit of Miss L. Hodder next month.
