MAURICEVILLE DEFENCE CLUE ANNUAL MEETING (“The Age” Special.) The annual -gon oral mooting of the Mauriceville Defence Rifle Club was lichl in Mauriceville recently. . The fellowing officers' were elected for the coming year: Patron, Mr. Robert Cameron; president, Mr E. H. Dagg; deputy-president, Mr. A. Forsberg; hon. secretary and treasurer, Air. T. Bonnett; vice-presidents, Messrs R. Judd, J. L. Heckler, D. Bennett, R). A. Cameron, A. M. Colquhoun, L. P. Larsen, E. W. Cheetham and F. Tildesley; hon. auditor, Mr. R. A. Cameron. The president, deputy-president and secretary were appointed handicappers and a disputes committee for the coming season. Mr. M. Neilsen was appointed caretaker of the targets. The late secretary and treasurer, Mr A. M. Colquhoun, was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for past services. It was arranged that another target be erected for the coming season. The following trophies were presented during the evening: Shield for highest aggregate, Rifleman M. Neilsen, 510 points; Rose Bowl for highest aggregate off rifle, President E. H. Dagg, 506 points; Mr. E. H. Dagg’s trophy-for highest aggregate at 300 yards, Rifleman R. C. F. Dagg; Mr. D. Bennett’s trophy for highest aggregate at 500 yards, Rifleman A. M. Colquhoun; Mr. A. E. Clarke’s trophy for highest aggregate at 600 yards. Rifleman T. Bennett. It is hoped to recommence shooting early in October.
