JAPAN AND CHINA.
MANCHURIAN INTERESTS A RECONCILIATION PEKIN, August 12. Mukden dispatches suggest that the Manchurian leaders are on the point of declaring their association, with the Nanking Government, though no hint is given regarding a compromise of terms. Japan’s attitude at first was strongly hostile to such an affiliation, but is now much more conciliatory, indicating that she has. received a satisfactory assurance that her acquired rights in Manchuria will not be subject to radical interference.—.(Australian Press Association—United Service.)
