A TEAM’S SUCCESS.

CBOSS-COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS SAVIDAN’S PERFORMANCE In reporting to the Wellington Centre of the N.Z.A.A.A. on the Wellington Cross-Country team which competed at the New Zealand championships at Wanganui on Saturday, Mr J. Bradbury, the manager, states that the Wellington team’s success was not the recsuit of the collapse # of the other teams, but due.to the men’s good condition and' individual preparation to start the race’ well prepared. He understood that it was the first time in the history of the race that every centre was represented. Mr. Bradbury pays a tribute to the wonderful performance of Savidun, the individual winner. "It was no disgrace for any competitor, even R. A. Rose,” he states, "to go down before the run that Savidan put, up across the hilly and uneven ground. It had to be seen-to be fully appreciated.”
