PURCHASE OF YOUNG CALVES.

ARRANGEMENTS WITH DAIRY FARMERS Within the last two years the young calf, which has usually been knocked oo the head for its skin, has become of value. Many thousand ealves have been killed at freezing works and exported in the form of boneless veal. Arrangements have been made with the Waingawa Freezing Works 'by many of the dairy factories to kill and freeze these on behalf of the companies. Farmers will thus be enabled to get the full value of young calves instead of just the bare value of the skin, Besides increasing the value of calves to thi dairy farmers, killing operations in the early spring, will give a fair amount of employment at the Waingawa Works, which is always of advantage to the Wairarapa district.
