SECRET AIRSHIP
FOR FLIGHT FROM BRITAIN TO AUSTRALIA. GLASGOW MAN’S PREPARATIONS DAY & NIGHT FLYING United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, May 30. Bert Campbell, of Glasgow, who lived for fifteen years in Australia, has been secretly constructing an airship to fly to Australia at the end of July. At present he is learning airship navigation. Campbell says he conceived the idea of a non-rigid airship for commercial r ervice in Australia, for whic i, he says, ho obtained backing by Australian business mon twelve years ago. His airship is 170 feet long, with 105, 000 feet cubic capacity, twin engines, and a cruising range of 3000 miles. Captain Frederick Boothby is to execute the final details. There will be a crew of four. The ship will follow Hinkler's route, flying day and night.—(Austra.ian Press Association—United Service.).
