At the Feilding Conference on Saturday, Mr. W. J. Polson, Dominion President of the Farmers’ Union, announced that the Dominion Executive was against the Union becoming a political body. He mentioned at the same time that he himself intended to become a candidate for election to Parliament. The latter statement would have been still more interesting had Mr. Polson said where and in what party relationship he intends to stand.
