WAIRARAPA CHALLENGE ACCEPTED. CHRISTCHURCH, May 23. At a meeting of the Canterbury Rugby Union challenges for the Ranfurly Shield were accepted as follow:— Wairarapa, for July 18; Manawhenua, for August 11; Hawke’s Bay, for September 12.—(P.A.) NEW SOUTH WALES TEAM. PROPOSED ITINERARY. The proposed itinerary of the New South Wales Rugby football* team, which will arrive at Auckland on August 21, is as follows:—Play Auckland, August 25; Wanganui, August 29; Hawke’s Bay, September T; Wellington, September 5 (first test); Otago, September 8 (second test); Southland, September 12; Canterbury, September 15 (third test); Marlborough, September 19; leave for Sydnev, September 21.
