MASTERTON SALE. The N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., report on their Masterton Salo as follows:— We had only an entry of throe pens of sheep which were sold well up to late rates, as follow:—Aged ewes r.w. S.D. rams 27/-; store ewes 16/9; woolly lambs 23/7; 1 Jersey bull £5 5/; 6 porkers 31/-. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report cn the Masterton sale as follows: A good yarding of sheep was submitted to a large attendance of buyers. Competition was exceptionally keen throughout the sale, with prices well in. advance of*- recent sales at this centre. Following is the range of prices: 247 f.m. ewes r.w. S.D. rams 34/5; 593 (Woolly wether lambs 27/7 (these two lines being sold in conjunction with the W.F.C.A.). Empty ewes 24/-; cull 2-th wethers 26/-; medium woolly lambs 23/9; cull lambs 12/- to 15/-. The Wairarapa Farmers’ Co-opera-tive Association, Ltd. (Stock Dept.) report as follows: —We offered a total of about 1500 sheep, 830 of which were sold in conjunction with Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., on account of the Waingawa works’ farm account. Competition throughout was animated and in comparison with other recent sales prices were well established. The Waingawa consignment was particularly jjood throughout and made corresponding prices. In our own list our principal offering iu ewes was on account of Mr. J. Hudson from his Mauriceville farm. These also made full values under the hammer. We report as follows: 250 s.m. ewes, r.w. S.D., account Wai-1 ngawa, 34/5; 100 m,e. do., account -J. Hudson, 34/-; 100 do., 32/9; on account other vendors, 33 m.a. ewes r.w. S.D. 29/3; 91 do., 29/1; 41 do., 29/-; 51 do., 28/6; 16 do., 27/6; 9 do., 27/9; 46 empty ewes, 25/8; 33 woolly ewe lambs, 27/9; 589 woolly wether lambs, on account Waingawa, 24/7; others, 22 woolly wether lambs, 24/-; 19 b.f. lambs, 20/2; medium w.f. wether lambs 16/1, 16/6 to 17/-; 13 forward ewes, 23/6; 16 fat do., 27/-; 10 do., 27/3; 27 fat b.f. lambs, 30/-. PAHIATUA SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Coy., Ltd., report on their weekly stock sale held at Pahiat'ua on Tuesday, as follows: We submitted a good yarding of ‘sheep to a good attendance of buyers. Breeding ewes in lamb showed appreciation in value. We offered a lino of 4-year ewes, in lamb to S.D. rams which realised the highly satisfactory price of 39/-. Good lambs were in demand. All classes of sheep sold well up to late rates. We quote as under: 83 ewes in lamb to S.D. rams 33/6; 100 4-year ewes in lamb to S.D. rams 39/-; 94 shorn wether lambs 24/1; 25 2th wethers 34/7; 37 2-th wethers 31/9; 43 m.a. cull ewes in lamb to Romney ‘rams 16/1; 7 stud m.a. ewes in lamb to ped. S.D. rams 37/-; 7 2-th stud S.D. ewes n lamb to pedigree S.D. rams, 4$ guineas.
