ORDERED TO STRIKE HIS FLAG. ADMIRALTY ATTITUDE. (Received Friday, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, April 5. In the House of Commons, Captain the Right Hon. C. C. Craig asked whether any, and if so, what, disciplinary action would be taken .regarding Admiral Collard in connection with the incident on the Royal Oak. Mr. w. C. Bridgeman (First Lord of the Admiralty): “Admiral Collard was ordered to strike Ms flag by the Commander-in-Chief in the Mediterranean. The Admiralty had approved of this action after the receipt of the minutes of the Court of Inquiry on March 17. The Admiralty will issue a statement on the case generally, when it has received and reviewed the proceedings of the Court-martial.—(Australian Press Association.—United Service.)
