LONGBUSH SCHOOL.
ANNUAL PICNIC & SPOBTS LIST OF RESULTS The annual picnic of the Longbush School was held last Friday. The sports were held on the property of Mr Bob Booth, of Gladstone. At midday the children assembled for lunch, which was provided by the ladies. The races were held in the afternoon. Palmer 1, E. Roberts 2. At tea time, the Rev. W. H. Howes, of Carterton, presented the book prizes, after which cheers were called for Mr and Mrs Howes, the school teacher, Mr W. F. R. Atkinson, and the chairman of the school committee, Mr A. Ross, and his wife. Many of the early settlors, including Mr and Mrs Bannister, Mr and Mrs Renall, and Mr and Mrs Eaton, were 'present, and a very enjoyable day was spent by all.
