WRITING COMPETITION.

BRITISH AND COLONIAL INDUSTRIES. THE AWARDS. Following is the report of the judge (Mr. C. Everard) ,on the recent writing competition organised by the British and Colonial Industries: — “I must again congratulate the Wairarapa schools on their splendid response jn the British and Colonial Industries’ writiug competition, and I can safely say that in my eleven years’ experience in judging, the Wairarapa schools are right to the fore in penmanship. There was a further increase this year in the number of papers forwarded, which goes to prove that the interest in these competitions increases yearly, which fact, I am sure, is very gratifying to the promoters. The Masterton Central, Lansdowne, Master ton West, St. Patrick’s, Matahiwi, Mt.
