WILSON CUP MATCH POSTPONED. The match for the Wilson Cup, which was to have been played yesterday at Lansdowne between Masterton (holders) and Manawatu, did not eventuate through the visitors cancelling the engagement. MASTERTON CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP. Playing at Lansdowne yesterday in the virtual semi-final for the senior club championship, J. Kerr defeated E. W. B. Hornabrook, 4 up and 2 to play. Kerr will now meet H. S. McLaren to contest the right to play T. H. Horton for the title. WANGANUI TOURNEY OPENS. J. GOSS HEADS QUALIFYING ROUND. WANGANUI, October 25. The Seafield tournament began today in fine, but overcast weather. The course is in excellent condition, though on the heavy side owing to recent rains. r lhe scores in the qualifying rounds to-day were not good, J. Goss (Wanganui) and H. Biack (Wellington) doing the best rounds. The professional matches for the “Wanganui Chronicle” championship, involving £250 prize money, starts tomorrow. —(P.A.).
