PERRIN CASE.
MURDER CHARGES WITHDRAWN. The four charges against Dorothy May Perrin of murdering her four young children at Petone were withdrawn in the Magistrate’s Court at Petone yesterday, pending her release from, the Mental Hospital. Mr. W. E. Leicester, who appeared for the accused, stated that the suggestion had been made last week that the Chief Detective should confer with his superiors regarding the temporary withdrawal of the charges. His client was still in the mental institution, and it might be some time before she was discharged, if at all.
