AGRICULTURAL CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING OF COMMITTEE. The annual meeting of the commit tee controlling the Wairarapa Boys' and Girls’ Agricultural Clubs, which functions under the auspices of the Farmers’ Union, was held yesterday, Mr. P. M. Compton presiding. Mr. W. J. McCulloch, Government Instructor in Agriculture, was also present. Mr. P. M. Compton was re-elected chairman, and Messrs. W. Perry (Masterton), T. Richardson (Eketahuna) and G. H. Efydd (Pahiatua) were added to the committee. It was decided to present the prizes to the Masterton schools on Monday October 18. It was reported that twenty-one schools had entered this season compared with twelve last year. The size of all plots was fixed at one-eightieth of an acre—thirty-threo feet by sixteen and a half feet—with nine rows, twenty-two inches apart. It was decided to write to the Education Board expressing the committee’s thanks for the services rendered by Mr F. C. Brockett, local instructor, and asking that his services again be made available.
