DAPHNE WILDWOOD DESTROYED. RESULT OF AN ACCIDENT. CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 11.—While taking part in the Dash Handicap at Addington to-day, Homer fell, bringing Daphne Wildwood down. G. Caddy, the rider of Daphne Wildwood, was taken to the hospital. He is suffering from injuries to the head and right shoulder. Daphne Wildwood received serious injuries in the fall and was subsequently destroyed.—(P.A.)
