WEDDING.
NORM AN- HUBBARD. A pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Matthew’s Church yesterday, the Rev. Bulloc‘k officiating, when Miss Elsie, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs A. T. P. Hubbard, of Upper Plain, Masterton, was married to Mr Burford Alfred Norman, Of “Whariti,” Woodville, only son of Mrs E. L. Norman, New Plymouth.
The bride Was given away by her father, anj wore a frock of cream georgette and dainty veil trimmed with Limerick lace and orange blossoms, and carried a pretty bouquet of pink roses and carnations. Misses Phyllis, Cora and Vefa Hubbard, sisters of the bride, attended as bridesmaids, and v worc pretty salmon pink georgette frocks with black hats trimmed with pink roses. Mr W. Norman Assisted his cousin as best man.
After the ceremony the guests were entertained at “Tiritea,” Upper Plain, the residence of the bride’s parents. The beautiful wedding cake was the gift of the bride’s grandmother.
Mrs Hubbard received her guests wearing a blue satin gown with hat to match. The bridegroom’s mothei* wore a grey frock with black hat. Among the guests present were the bride’s, grandmother, Mrs A. J. Willis, (Wellington) and her. aunts, Mrs. K. P. Mowat (Blenheim), Mrs Edwin Geach, (Sydney), Mrs Douglas Steele, and the Misses Ida and Peggy Willis, (Wellington), Mr and Mrs and Miss B. H. Norman, (Woodville), Mr E. W. Hubbard, (Palmerston North), Mr and Miss Francis (Feilding), Mr and Mrs D, B. Carrick, Mrs Johnstone, Mrs Ogilvy, Mrs D. Buchanan, Miss Taulknor Mrs Gawith, Mrs Sheet, Mr and Mrs John Andrews, Mrs Trevor Thompson, Mr and Mrs H. C. L. Robinson, Mr and Mrs N. R. Rutherfurd, Mrs Mr and Mrs E. J. Rose, Mr and Mrs Alex. Keith, Mr anQ Miss Hanlon, and the Misses Perry Tylee, Baddeley, Pearcb, Ashwell, Chamberlain. ' x The happy pair left by motor for the South, en route to Sydney, where the honeymoon is to be spent.
