SWIMMING.
{NIGHT CARNIVAL THIS MONTH. At a meeting of the Masterton A Swimming Club last evening it was * decided to hold a carnival at the Dixon street baths on January 22 (Commencing at 7.30 p.m. A projgramme of 11 events (with heats) iWas drawn up, including a club championship. ’ Messrs L. G. Williams, R. Rawliffo land J. V. Hoffeins were appointed to {attend a conference at Carterton to Idiseuss the holding of a district championships. The following officials were appointed for the carnival:—Swimming judges, W. Palamontain, A. V. Faulktnor, T. A. Russell; diving judges, S. [V. McEwen, A. Donald; timekeepers, J. Bradbur/, L. S. Nicol, C. R. MabBon; starter, W. S. L. Dickson, check btarter, W. D. Home; handicapper, L. jG. Williams; gate, H. Mackley, referee, L. Clarke; hon. secretaries, R. ■Rawcliffe and J. V. Hoffeins. Entries close on January 16
